Scope and Contents

This collection contains typed and hand-written notes on land grants in California, including sizes and purchasers of properties. The notes relate to Butte County, Tehama County and Colusa County, during the 18th and 19th centuries. The notes were created between 1908 and 1914. Names pertaining to land grants mentioned include: John Bidwell, Edward Farwell, Dionecius Fernandez, Peter Lassen, Samuel Neal, John Parrott, James Phelan, Samuel Todd and John Williams.

The account book lists names, dates and items purchased. The folder contains pressed leaves removed from book.

Scope and Contents Papers include correspondence, research notes, newsletters, oral histories, newspaper clippings, and a scrapbook, mainly pertaining to Colusi County (later Colusa County). Also in this collection are newsletters and journals pertaining to the Colusi Historical Society. Other people included in the collection are Frank Reager, first president of the Wagon Wheels, Charles Lambert a founding member of the Wagon Wheels, and Dr Etta Lund a founding member of the Colusi Historical Society. Scope and Contents

The collection consists mostly of slide which Trussell used for classroom use and as part of a simulated field trip. The rest of the collection is consists of flyovers of the northern Sacramento Valley, Fortran database print outs and a folder of mining research.
